    Dear God, I’m glad people are starting to speak out on this. There have always been and always will be “terrorists.” The idea that bandits and criminals are somehow an existential threat to the west has to be one of the biggest scams in history. The Cold War was dumb, but at least there were hundreds of millions of card carrying commies. And how incredibly conveniant that the terrorist bogeyman came along just in time to replace the commie hiding under our bed as justification for infinite “defense” spending. Sigh. JMO —Doug
